Okay, so I realize that it's been an incredibly long time since I've updated this thing. I figured I'd put something in here to make it seem more interesting than it really is.
Okay, so basically, I came back from Bethany and had about a week to slack off/beat God of War 2 before I went on that beautiful journey known as a 'job hunt'. Things haven't changed much since then to be honest. I'm still looking, and the only real prospective place that I have right now is this little music place called Meow Records. It's pretty self-explanitory. They sell CDs and Vynal there, and the staff get the chance to help out with shows and stuff. It would be part time, and even though I'm looking for full, I would love more than ANYTHING to work there. I love music, and I'm sure that record labels love me for the copious amounts of CDs that I buy in a year. I really hope it works through.

(untitled)
I just decided that I have officially lost it. First, I call people different names, then I'm hearing things, and now I'm mistaking English for Social Studies.
Yep, I'm screwed.
Yep, I'm screwed.

The end is near, repent!
Okay, so my life is about to end here at Bethany. For the moment. We have a few weeks left of class and then exams are coming up. It's about this time where I become thankful that I never continued with Greek because, let's face it, I would have died. Then again, I'm already screwed academically, so what the hay?
Speaking of dying. So the fire alarm went off last night around 2-2:30am. I didn't hear it at first because of the goodness that is earplugs. So then my RA comes and knocks on my door. Didn't hear it. I eventually woke up, but that after someone came into my room and turned on the lights. Even that didn't work, but I eventually woke up because I started sweating. To be honest, I was more concerned with the notion that someone came into my room. Nevermind the fact that I could have died. SOMEONE WAS IN MY ROOM.
Okay, so before I go, I just want to highlight some sweet music I've been listening to lately. Hopefully, you know of Dallas Green. Well, if you don't, this guy is in a little band called alexisonfire, and he started this side project called City and Colour (witty). So, this past Tuesday, he released a live CD/DVD from one of his performances about this time last year. It has some old-time favorites along with some unreleased material, bad jokes, stage banter, and an alexisonfire cover. Yes. He covers his own band. That's aych-core. But yeah, the songs translate very well live- well, how couldn't it translate well? I mean, it's just him and a guitar for the most part- and he gives the songs a bit of new life by changing them up a bit. But yeah, if you have the time, check it out. It's called Live (surprise surprise).
Oh, and in my defence of the whole fire alarm thing, I was pretty out of it.

Interesting.
So I came across this one article in the Star Pheonix (Saskatoon's paper) about this one guy who plead guilty after making these alleged death threats against the Prime Minister. He also went on to say that he was just being satirical. So, if I wrote something absurd, like, "I hope Harper chokes on poutine", will it mean that I'll get arrested?
I'll keep you posted.

A Proposition...
Okay, so an idea popped into my mind of starting another blog on the side that's basically just a place for me to review music, movies, whatever -- but it'll mostly be music. I just think that reviewers often give high ratings for CDs because what they are known for (tobyMac, dcTalk?), how popular they are at the time, you know. That kind of stuff. So, I propose we skip all the bullshit and get down to what makes it what it is. Thoughts?

Another Update.
I went and deleted some stuff in the blog that I thought was really unecessary, so some of the entries may seem a little trimmer and incomplete.

Surprise!
Okay, so it's definitely been awhile since I updated this monster.
Anyways, to make things rather short, school is going okay for me. Haven't had too many problems with courses and stuff, but I definitely didn't get paid yesterday. That makes me a sad panda.
Anyways, to make things rather long, here's what's been going on for the last month. School: Turns out I'm actually four credits short now from graduation, but that may partly be due to the fact that my original 17-credit plan turned into a 16-credit plan. So, I definitely won't be graduating this semester. The plan was, after grad being over, to be done with Bethany and finish it up over the summer. Here's where it falls apart. I don't know how well I will learn if I teach myself a course over the summer, so right now, I'm trying to evaluate where I will learn best. Another factor is that I've been putting some serious thought into whether or not I should go for one of the RA positions next year. We'll see what happens, but its always interesting to note that my original ideas always seem to fall apart some way or another.
Okay, here's an interesting story. I got into an accident a few weeks ago in the Bethany parking lot. I was backing up to drop the van off in the garage and it turns out that there were other people driving in the lot that day. So, I kinda backed into the guy and left a huge dent in his car, but because teh (left in for added effect) van I was driving in hit him in just the right spot, there was no damage. So here I am, wondering what the crap I am going to do because I couldn't afford to pay for the repairs. So, two days later, I was talking to the maintenance guy about it, and because I took full blame for the accident, insurance covered the damage for the car and I got off. The downside to this is that it goes on my record and renewing my liscence is going to be a bitch.
Alright, I guess that's enough from me. Have a good day.
